How do I adjust my volume and make sure it's not muted?

The easiest way to check your volume settings is by opening up the Windows Volume Control Panel. Some of the windows and options may differ depending on your sound card and audio software. If you need further assistance, please check the available support from your computer's or sound card's manufacturer.

  1. Open the Start menu and go to Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Open Sounds and Multimedia.
  3. Click on the Audio tab.
  4. Click on the Volume button in the Sound Playback section.

  5. Set the Volume Control Volume to around 75%.

  6. Verify that the Mute all check box is unchecked.
  7. Check your SW Synth or MIDI Synth channel and make sure its Volume is up around 75-80%.
  8. Make sure the SW Synth or MIDI Synth Mute checkbox is not checked.
