If my plug-in settings don't show up in QuickTime, what should I do?
If you have QuickTime installed but the QuickTime Preferences (Edit > Preferences > QuickTime
Preferences) drop-down settings list does not include Browser
Plug-in, you will need to delete your QuickTime preferences
folder and reinstall QuickTime.

This is due to a permissions
issue with the folder containing your QuickTime preferences. You need to
have administrative rights on your computer to delete the preferences folder.
- Make sure your login has administrative privileges. (If you do not have administrative
privileges please contact your system's administrator.)
- Navigate to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
Note that the Application Data directory is usually hidden. To see the folder,
in Windows Explorer click Tools > Folder Options, click the View tab, and make
sure the "Show hidden files and folders" option is enabled.
- Delete the QuickTime folder.
- Run the QuickTime installer.
- If given the option, choose Repair; otherwise, follow the instructions for
a standard installation.
