To play WolframTones on a Linux or Unix system, you'll need to use a browser such as Firefox, Mozilla, or Netscape and install a suitable browser plug-in that is capable of playing MIDI.

We have obtained good results with a MIDI sequencer called TiMidity++. In order to access TiMidity++ or other MIDI players in your browser, you might have install a wrapper program such as Plugger or MozPlugger. It will also be necessary to install suitable SoundFonts.
